Home Fecal Transplants
Description
The health of the fecal microflora is vital to the health of the entire body - recent research is making this extremely clear. Those with environmental illnesses almost always have imbalanced gut flora (gut dysbiosis). The best probiotic we have right now, as unpleasant as it sounds, is the fecal matter of a healthy donor. This group is intended for members to share techniques for performing 'fecal transplants' at home in an effort to improve the health of their gut ecosystem and thus their health as a whole. The procedure is also known as 'fecal bacteriotherapy' and 'human probiotic infusion (HPI)'.

Hi Wendy. I just used high grade distilled water bought online in bulk. It's inexpensive and easy to find. I think many others in the group also used distilled water. All you have to be sure of is that the water you use is not contaminated with microbes...and this is the case with distilled water. Good luck!
I wonder why that conversation is no longer on this thread. I would certainly like to see it again, and say that I think this therapy might help me, but I need it to be safe.
Hi Hazel. I do not recall the conversation to which you refer. However there is extensive discussion in these threads about pre transplant testing. Alternately please see my blog which has a copy of the CDD Home Infusion Protocol (including testing), a list of clinics which may be able to assist, FAQs and a guide to making the decision "Is FMT for You?".
