Any further progress with the DNRS techniques since your last post canary63? I hope all is well.

Hey Canary I hope the DNRS is working well for you. I'm interested in hearing future updates and other treatments you have done to improve your MCS. Thank you.

The Power of the 5th step. I am finding the fifth step in the Annie Hopper program- when you step into higher self and talk to your limbic system is very powerful. It occurred to me the other day that I can when I take the "Creators" perspective on all these chemicals I am exposed to- I am not so resentful and judgmental toward the people and places that produce all those smells. I try to think about the original intent of the people who made the product- such as perfume or carpet as positive- it seems to help my reactions....

Hi Fellow Canaries.
I was diagnosed with MCS in 1985 when I became acutely ill with EI and then when I had recovered somewhat fell pregnant with my fourth child. Thirteen reasonably well years later I was exposed to chemicals again when my home was renovated and became acutely ill again and nearly died this time. That was in 2000 and since then I now have CFS and PTSD to add to the list.
I am much improved in many ways now due to 24/7 good care of my body and a quiet lifestyle.
I bought the DNRS Cd's as soon as I knew they were available after reading about the neurological connection as I always felt as though I had a neurological injury and started practicing watching my thought processes around exposures and noticed a slight change.
However while doing a watercolour w/shop in a smelly art studio I become ill afterwards with fatigue, severe nausea, low blood pressure and angina ending up in hospital for a day..all symptoms that point to my detox pathways not functioning well.I have seen my MCS naturopath since then and I am back on a liver detox program as that is the only thing that helps me with the symptoms and some mitochondrial medicine as well. However I feel that the limbic system impairment may still be playing a part in keeping me ill so am now at a point where I am about to start using it the way Annie teaches.
I am excited to find a group of people here who are also using this program.Hopefully I will be sharing some positive results here with you when and as I discipline myself enough to follow through with it.
Btw I am the admin of a FB Group called Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Byron Bay Community Group.
Warmly,
Christos (Glenda)

Thank you so much for your post. It encourages me to know that someone is using the program, in addition to other modalities. Annie's program and experience does not really address that much. Like you, the program is not a stand alone, but an addition to the naturopathic carem diet, supplements, etc.

I went through the DVD program in June, this is a very well given program Annie explains exactly why we have the reactions that we do. I had to go to work just 2 days after I finished the last DVD, she recommends starting out with small exposures then work you r way up to the things that trigger you the worst. I started by visiting Kmart, and got through that ok, then Target, wasn't easy but got through that, then work, now work is where I got sick to begin with, I am in an office with 100 other people, we had new carpet installed just before moving into it, and a lot of folks were very strong perfumes and scented lotions. there are also scented candles and reed disfussers in the room, oh and they use clorox antibacterial wipes on every work station because there is no assigned seating in there, with the exception of a few that had medical accommodations, I am in a wheel chair so had to have them modify the station, they did NOT have a wheel chair accessible workstation set up ahead of time, full well knowing that I was in a wheel chair. So back to the DNRS thing, I use the steps at work and it helps to some degree but being in a 10,000 sq ft office full of polluted people and products takes its toll on me daily so, haven't been able to really shut the reactions down. I especially have a hard time when folks were bath and body Japanese Cherry Blossom and Twilight woods products, there are 4 ladies that wear JCB and 2 men that wear TW. So it is constant exposure. Would love to be able to get back to normal, have asked for different days off to lessen my exposures, that was denied have asked for a private office that I can be able to close the door, that was also denied. I wear a carbon filtered mask all day and have an air cleaner near my desk, those 2 things help cut down the exposure, but neither of those 2 things are designed to handle 10,000 sq foot of constant exposure.

Hi Canary. I'm really keen to hear your updates on the DVDs. Maybe a good step forward for me too. Thanks.

Hi CazNZ, thanks for your comment, its encouraging to know someones reading. Started a discussion (neural training ins & outs) to post daily progress, as per Maff's request.

Maff,
Hi canary63, it's really great to hear that you are quite quickly finding out how exactly DNRS can work for you and are able to adapt it slightly to fit your needs. I am particularly encouraged that you are noticing a reduction in inflammation as this really does show that the central neuroimmune hypersensitivity is being diminished by the exercises. Really appreciate your reports...if you want to continue regular updates would you mind clicking the small 'Create Discussion' link under the 'Discussions' heading and posting in there - just keeps things tidier and more organised. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! I started a discussion group entitled neural training ins & outs to post my progress.

When Annie talks about incremental training one should take it more seriously...I overexposed myself yesterday and got
very discouraged. But I did the "exercises" and was able to
stave off a headache. I won't be one of those overnight healers- it going to take some time, but I am encouraged about how I can feel the inflammation in my body diminish as I do the exercises.

I understand this one all too well, at work I don't have that chance am literally bombarded there. I am doing better with exposures outside the work place, but still struggling at work, congrats on your success to stave off the headache

I have finished the four days of DVD and exercises. I am seeing some small but significant changes in the MCS symptoms. One example, I was being to smell a moldy raspberry- I could only detect the rasberry smell- not the mold. I did not get an allergic reaction! I was also able to open up the doors and windows this morning without having a reaction.
