What is it? A deep skin infection that appears as red and swollen in the beginning and is painful and spreads really fast.
What are the symptoms? Fever and flu-like symptoms may also be experienced apart from muscle pain. Timely intervention is important as it may spread to the blood as well. A healthcare provider will inspect the lymph nodes and put the patient on antibiotics, if found suffering from cellulitis.
What is it? It occurs more in children than in adults. It erupts more near the mouth and nose.
What are the symptoms? After initial eruption near the mouth or nose, it shows up as a small red patch with red bumps or pustules with pus coming out. Only a topical antibiotic can cure it.
It can spread through contact and so do the above mentioned infections.

1. Clean Hands
Washing your hands before eating and everytime you enter home from outside is the best cure. 2. Don't Share

Wounds are meant to be closed and not showcased to the microbes like Staphylococcus aureus. One should keep his wounds, injuries, deep cuts clean and covered with a sterile bandage. One, it helps in quick healing and second it saves you from spreading the infection to other sites, if the pus build up has taken place.
4. Stay Alert
Do not touch any other person's wound or bandage or open wounds. If you accidentally do, wash your hands immediately or take a bath, if some other body part has.
5. Stay Dry
If a person with some staph infection uses the swimming pool or you come to know that he has and still, do not take a plunge in the water. Getting wet will increase the infection, keep your infected skin dry.
6. Gym etiquettes
Well, if you are a gym rat make sure you are using clean, sanitized equipments. If they are not, get them or do the honors. Do not walk barefoot at such places and avoid common sauna with an infected gym mate.
