In Arizona

#1 2 years, 5 months ago
Hey Maff

I made it here to Phoenix Arizona, where you can basically get all treatments done in Mexican hospitals - even more; by alternative or integrative physicians. Thing is, it is much cheaper!!!

The hospital in Tijuana I was going to go to was 3000$ a week - they were going to do one IV a day, a couple times blood uv irradiation a week, etc. But the thing here, its costing much less - about 100$ and IV, blood UV or blood ozone 50$. So in the end, I can get this for an extended period of time with other supplements and procedures, without spending 10000$ for three weeks.

I got already IV vitamins and also blood ozone a couple times. Now am getting tested for heavy metals toxicity, parasites, etc; treatment will start after results are in.

In the meantime, I am not so great... Yet!

Hi Dechen,

Great to hear from you!

Fantastic news that you can get all the integrative therapies at such a reduced cost and spread them over time as you wanted

Are you getting hyperbaric oxygen as well? I found that was the most helpful of the oxygen therapies from a symptom perspective.

Great that you're having testing done as well. You need to know what you're dealing with so you can tailor your treatment and not waste money on things you don't need! Let us know the results when they're in.

I hope the sun in Arizona will help you as well. I feel much better in that part of the world than I do in England just for that reason

Take care and fingers crossed you'll be feeling better soon.

Hey Maff,

I thought it would interest you... Thanks for the tip about hyperbaric oxygen. Will mention it to my doc.

Here they also do bicarbonate sodium IV against candida; I was told it is the most efficient.

I'm getting tested for heavy metals, food allergies, parasites, dysbiosis, every single thing! I think it is the logical way to go actually - if you're really sick, I think it is not possible nor wise to try and treat yourself with the forums.

The doc told me he will care for me and he really really wants to make me better - imagine hearing that after running around in circles with incompetents or incredulous doctors past six months.

My only doubt - his main approach is homeopathy and I doubt it is strong enough for my case. But hey I've got 12 plans B 'cause here, there are millions of integrative doctors, naturopaths, clinics, homeopaths, etc. Like a medical Disneyland.

Up to now though, my body is soaking up these vitamin and mineral IV's; I just needed it so bad. I realize now that not much of my food must be absorbed.

Yeah, I understand British people craving Arizona weather - it is a big plus since fungi, mushrooms, yeasts, don't thrive in dry heat. They like cold humidity!!!

Well maybe you could try a stay here.. I would like to hear more of your experiences with doctors in UK though; you must have good alternative doctors there?

Hey Dechen,

It's great you've finally found somewhere where you can get all of this done after all of your searching!

It also feels great when you find a doctor that actually listens to you, understands your problems and has a plan. Even my current GP here in England is very sympatheic and agrees with a lot of the treatments we discuss here but he's powerless to use them as an employee of the National Health Service (NHS)!

The IV sodium bicarbonate is interesting. The idea behind that is that it will make the tissues more alkaline and Candida is less pathogenic in such an environment. I've never heard it being used in IVs though only orally.

I have to say I'm suspicious of treatments that try to treat a supposed \"systemic\" Candida infection in patients who are ot severely immunodeficient (e.g. AIDS patients and Cancer patients on chemo). In most cases of people being made chronically ill by Candida I believe the infection is localised to the intestines and it is the toxins absorbed from there that damage tissues and cause symptoms. But let me know how you get on with that particular treatment!

You're absolutely right about the forums. They are not primarily intended to replace proper medical care but let people exchange information and ideas that they can then take to their doctor or other health care provider and ask for certain tests or treatments etc

To be honest there aren't that many good alternative doctors in the UK, especially in the north where I live. The ones we have tend to be based in London (3 hours on the train and 4+) in the car from me. There are a lot more good alternative doctors and clinics in the US and other European countries *sigh*.

I work with Dr. Myhill (an ME/CFS and EI specialist)who is very good and am also planning to see Dr. George Mouton...a Beligan doctor who specialises in gut dysbiosis and liver toxicity.

Hey I am running out of options. Becoming weaker and sicker by the day. I have faith i will find the right test but don't know how much longer i will be able to wait. I am in Phoenix and am wondering where or how someone can get tested for mold exposure /mycotoxins. Have previously had asthma and a lung issue which hospitalized me many years ago. I live in an apartment with poor ventilation rarely are the air filters changed and have seen signs of mold in the bathroom. The last few weeks I have had progressive and constant muscle twitching starting under my left arm where the node was swollen. It is now spreading across my body and down my legs some. I have had trouble breathing and night sweats. No appetite and have lost 10-12 pounds at least in the last 2 weeks. My eyes and nostrils are sometimes dry and sometimes water or runny. Very slight fever that comes and goes as well as diahrea and constipation with soreness in nodes in my neck and underarm and groin that comes and goes.I do seem to feel better as i move around and get out of my apartment.

Hey Maff,

Having a great time here - like a medical disneyland! There's so many options. I was worried that if this doctor didn't work out, I needed a plan B, but there are hundreds of naturopathic doctors, alternative and integrative health practitioners.

It's fantastic to have a doctor who doesn't look at you with utter disbelief. And yes, that he knows exactly how to proceed. You can feel he's done this before. But the best is when he says: We\"ll get you better. That's the best.

My doctor in Montreal was like yours - open minded and very kind and wanting to help, only having his hands tied by the government.

The IV sodium bicarbonate is brilliant - the first two times I got hours long die-off. The very first time, I was completely out from detoxing. And what is nice with this clinic, I just go in, and I tell the nurse to add this and that to my IV! Last time, I asked for liver support - she added alphalipoic acid.

I agree totally with you - candidiasis in immunocompetent people is totally restricted to the digestive tract. Systemic candida infection happen in AIDS victims and cancer patients - people with severely depressed immune system.

As you say, the toxins are what is slosshing around our body.

I do hope you get to an excellent alternative doctor one of these days. Maybe you should redo some of the testings to establish what it is you have precisely. It has value you know.

Maybe you should look into France - they have a long tradition of excellent naturopathic care?
