I have been in Phoenix Az for over a month now. After a bout with a medical predator, narcissic, money hungry, manipulative and abusive (Dr Bruce Shelton - to be avoided!!!) I had to change clinic.
Found an a-ma-zing teaching hospital for naturopathic physicians - two environmental doctors and one general physician taking care, students studying... me. This place is so very great, many people involved with you, they care so much and whenever I go for treatments, they dim the lights and put music on!!!
According to my tests, I have candida/yeast and also cryptosporidium. Cryptosporidium becomes chronic only in Aids people - kills most within a year. It's a very nasty parasite to get rid of if you're immunocompromised. And since I don't have Aids, the reason for my immune failure was clear to doctors: heavy metal toxicity - particularly, lead, cadmium, aluminium.
One friend, microbiologist for the Canadian government and authority on parasites and such wrote to me:
...but you must get the heavy metals down. Lead and Cadmium are devastating and most of the symptoms you are having are due to this. Crypto and Candida are not primary pathogens, they are opportunistic pathogens, they are there because you are sick, they are not the cause of it. This is Dr Bob talking. Persevere with the chelation if you can.
So there you go. I was so pleased to hear this because, as you may know, I have been fighting and fighting candida, and this other infection, with everything to no avail.
Heavy metal chelation will improve health, no matter the problem according to Dr Garry Gordon. For me, lead levels were 27mg as opposed to 2mg in general population. I read that people who get simply 3mg die sooner than the 2mg gang.
I get calcium Edta IV chelation twice a week now + vitamins/minerals/glutathione. Wow, this is powerful stuff. After the second/third chelation - I was in outer space, bladder and kidney irritated by all the toxic metals coming out.
Another cause for compromised immunity is also contamination from toxic chemicals - pesticides, solvants, bpc, whatever in our environment. These circulate in the blood, and stored in fat cells. They also create untold havoc in the body. So another doctor was of the opinion that these have to be detoxed.
They cannot be chelated, they have to go with colonics, liver cleansing, FIR saunas.
All this is a huge amount of work; actually almost a full time job. Chelation, then coffee enemas, then probiotics implants, aloe gel, antiparasite herbs.
I get clearer and a little more energy after getting huge detox reactions; parasite infection symptoms are going down. According to the environmental specialist, it will take six months to chelate metals down.
The only symptoms that are still going - the skin itchy, toxins these are not down.
I imagine it will take longer for the environmental poisons to leave - over a long period of time. Frankly in our day and age, probably one should never stop detoxing in every possible way. The body can never function properly with such a heavy load of crap.
Doctor at my clinic told me that absolutely everyone gets better. They also give me free hydrotherapy - for detox and stimulating immune system. Cover me in hot and cold towels and then stick electrodes on my belly and back that massage with electric waves internal organs. This is all really great.
I am more optimistic now. I have good hope that I will get better. It takes a huge amount of work and money also. But in the long run, it will be so worth it. At that clinic, everyting in me gets taken care of, every issue is adressed.
I had never imagined such a great place; and unlike private clinics they dont try to make maximum money out of me. I get students visits for 36$; IVs 50$; supplements at a discount.
All this shows the imperative value of getting a proper DIAGNOSIS and going to good doctors. In any case it was major for me.

Hi Dechen,
It's good to see you back on the site and great to hear that you have now found medical care that is actually getting to the root of your problems and giving you treatments that are helping you feel better.
Is it the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine that you are being treated at? It's great that you get cheaper consultations and treatments from the students. I actually looked into going there to train as a ND in the future. Obviously I would have to be feeling better myself...and find the money. For now I am concentrating on finishing my bachelor's degree and qualifying as a nutritionist.
Your toxic metal levels sound very high and would definitely cause immunosuppression as well as a lot of neurological and psychological symptoms.
You should be able to get rid of Candida and any other infections much more easily as your toxic metal and pollutant load decreases.
Good luck with your busy treatment schedule! I hope you'll keep us updated

Hello Maff,
Yes indeed, it is the Southwest College for Naturopathic Medicine. It is a really great place - they are really good I think. The students appointments are always supervised by doctors - students ask me tons of questions then doctor comes in and answers my questions. Throughout my IV, one student stays with me.
You know, they ask me things like \"do you want the music on\" \"do you want the lights off\"...
They even giving me the hydrotherapy treatments for free. My main doctor is quite young and inexperienced though; and I was offered to switch to an older environmental doctor - as my case may be a bit difficult. This older doctor (Dr Crinnion) wants to do more investigations though, doesn't seem satisfied with the present diagnosis - to get a more thourough picture of my condition. I can't imagine why cryptosporidium and heavy metal poisoning is enough to explain my illness.
Cryptosporidium is very hard to get rid of, and she first suggested 6 weeks Nitazoxanide (the normal course for immunocompetent is 3 days); the fact is mine has become chronic. Chinese doctor has said - \"then you don't die from the paasites, you'll die from liver\". So I refused at first unsure that 3 simple days would do the trick and certain that my liver cannot last six weeks on this nasty pesticide type antiparasitical drug.
So I researched a lot - and found some herbs (Chinese wormwood; Holarrhena antidysenterical - Bitter oleander), saccharomyces boulardii. I did myself a course of the Oleander and it decreased my symptoms but has not eliminated the parasites.
So somehow all is not perfect. The student doctor who works with my main doctor is actually more self assured and does more research and is full of useful advice.
It's really up and down though. But I think I may try to give the chemicals a shot as I think now that most my symptoms are due to this.
I will not wait till heavy metals and toxics are out of my system for the crypto to vanish all by magic.
But for now, the weather is dry and warm; oranges and grapefruits are ripe. And I'm just going on.

Hi Dechen, it has been so good to know that you are okay and even getting better! I have read both of your recent posts on this thread and plan to google \"Cryptosporidium.\" I have never heard of it. But I am in 100% agreement that a person needs an accurate diagnosis and the sooner the better, because as one who hasn't gotten diagnosed (beyond the \"clinical\" level), it would really help to KNOW what one is fighting. So I'm glad you do!
It is sadly amazing to recognize how harmful our chemical laden world is on the human body. Now that I have the mercury out of my teeth, I need to detox and it is proving to be more difficult than I had imagined.
Would you explain something to me? In another post a while ago, you said that a long time ago, you had Candida that wouldn't go away but when you got the mercury out of your fillings, the Candida went away.
Well about that, I am wondering how it came back? Can you offer any warning advice so that if/when I get the heavy metal out, resulting in less Candida, that I don't do something that brings it back? How long before a person can resume normal living? By normal, I don't mean \"unhealthy.\"
How are you doing with housing and online work? I haven't found any work yet, but in three weeks I get to move to another place for three more weeks. I am looking for sedentary work now so hopefully I can get stablized, and healthier...
Take care! I hope to hear from you soon. Oh and wow, enjoy a grapefruit for me! I've been really enjoying the flavor of organic grapefruit lately, but it sounds like you get to eat it fresh in the same part of the country where it is grown!
Greatful*
