Victory! And a new promising chelator and detox

#1 2 years ago
Here's some fantastic news - for those who know me from death row last year to back to life this year.

Victory! The chelation of heavy metals - am now in my sixth months - has given tremendous results at all levels - not just candida or parasites. I feel 15 years younger, my energy levels are steady at almost 100% (this hadn't been so for ages and ages); the parasites are history and so is candida - I did have serious candida last year, but by the time it was measured, levels were low.

There are all kinds of benefits - small and large - that I notice too. My liver is never so good - it used to swell from the overload of toxicity, and was nauseated all the time. Now I can go through one liter of Hagen Daaz cherry ice cream with no problem!

The large amounts of sugars I consume now - natural ones like maple syrup, show me that candida overgrowth is not a matter of high carb diet. It is a matter of low immunity (or no immunity), toxic burden, etc.

Also thanks to chelation, my circulation is vastly improved - I get purple legs because my circulation is generally so bad and now this has also gotten better.

I must say I also do chigong and mind-body medicine (powerful techniques to detox emotional toxins and as far as my experience shows me, emotional toxins are as damaging as chemical toxins). So chelation has been miraculous but it has gotten help from other approaches.

I am so elated because my environmentalist doctor has just told me that we can stop IV chelation and continue with oral chelation and detox.

This is the interesting part for you (and Matt especially, am sure you'll be interested in this product); my doctor has suggested a new oral chelator that takes care of mercury AND lead (whereas before you need two separate chelators DMPS/DMSA and EDTA). And not only this, it also detoxes organophosphates, pesticides, etc. from FATTY tissues in the body. Pesticides and chemical toxins are stored in fats in the body.

So this product seems quite incredible in that it can do all this. It is called OSR#1 (for Oxidative Stress Relief). Here is one good link for info on it:

www.neurorelief.com/osr/

I have not started yet, but according to my doctor (and she's a specialist of environmental diseases caused by pollutants), they are getting good results.

So again I must say:
Victory!

Hey Dechen,

That's wonderful news!

When you say:

\"The large amounts of sugars I consume now - natural ones like maple syrup, show me that candida overgrowth is not a matter of high carb diet. It is a matter of low immunity (or no immunity), toxic burden, etc. \"

I find that so interesting. I also found that diet alone wasn't getting to the root of my candida problem.

Good for you for having success!

Hi Dechen,

Great to hear from you and fantastic news that you have seen so much improvement in your health!

If anyone could help you it was going to be a place like SCNM who have the doctors, the experience, the expertise, and the facilities to really get to the bottom of things. Both good news and interesting that the chelation and removal of toxic metals has had such a profound effect. They really are a huge burden on the immune system and detoxification pathways as well as having serious consequences for the rest of the body.

OSR#1 looks interesting. I'll have to do some research into it and add it to the reviews section. Please let us know how you get on with it!

I am planning on blowing all my savings trying to get to the bottom of my own illness and find a solution to all the road blocks in the way of treating my rampant small intestinal Candida overgrowth which is now the cause of the majority of my symptoms and has been for 10+ years.

I agree that restoring immunity is key to getting this issue under control as whenever immunity is impaired fungal infections WILL occur. In your case toxic metals seem to have been the case and it's brilliant that treating that seems to have cleared up your own Candida problems. I don't have any dental fillings of any kind and have never been exposed to toxic metals in a major way so I doubt this is a major factor. However I have eaten a lot of fish over the past 10 years so may have inadvertently created a problem myself. However, in my case I have had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) for 20 years and obviously it is well established that this illness carries with it significant immune dysfunction. To this end I intend to find out exactly what is going on with my immune system, if any chronic viral or Lyme infections are present as well as checking for toxic metals. There is a specialist hospital here in the UK that specializes in environmental illness and ME/CFS and does these kinds of tests - it's called Breakspear Medical Group. Once I have all that information I'll know where to focus treatment efforts to have the biggest impact instead of trying to do things partially blind. I'm also still pursuing the faecal transplant idea as I believe I am at the stage where whatever I do I need my gut flora replacing with as much good stuff as possible. Current probiotic products just won't do the job even if my nervous system could tolerate prolonged yeast die-off.

I'll keep you updated as I have the tests done through my blog. Only thing now is to find the time while finishing my degree course!

Take care and all the best for continued improvement

P.S. I have been meditating (a mantra chanting form) for years and it has truly been the key to keeping me going and determined to help myself and others. I'm planning on learning Qi Gong very soon too as I hear great things about it. Do you know the name of the type you practice? Thanks.

Post edited by: Maff, at: 2010/05/13 16:32

Hey Dechen,

What's the name of the clinic you've been at? I may want to give them a call myself.

Hey Airy,

I'm sure Dechen will be back with details but until then you can check out the website of the clinic she has been getting treatment at (which is actually a naturopathic medical school):

Hey Airy and Matt,

Thanks for your support and rejoicing; I do hope everybody can be healed as I was. And it IS possible, provided you find the proper care. Had I stayed in Canada, I would probably have deteriorated to a point of no return, and then catch one more pneumonia, and be gone.

Airy, the place I go to is as Matt said, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, and it is unconditionnally worth it. I have never seen doctors so dedicated, so caring, and also so competent. They know their stuff and they are going against mainstream.

A lot of them are also trained in many approaches, like acupuncture, homeopathy, naturopathy, mind-body specialists, etc. So they use many tools to heal you.

And the best is you can get on student shifts - which will cost you 35$!!! You see two residents and then you get to talk to the doctor. But the best is the residents are really knowledgeable and they stay with you for hours if need be. They are mostly just about to graduate. Your first appointment has to be with one doctor, (which is more expensive, but they spend a long time investigating you); then you can go onto student shift.

I used to get hydrotherapy (a procedure where they use hot and cold towels to induce detox, stimulate immunity and circulation) for 25$!!! But of course, my IVs were expensive - over 100$ a week for DMPS, EDTA, glutathione, and nutrients (vitamin C and minerals, etc). But it's half the price of the same in a private clinic.

The college is located here in Scottsdale, Az. Their phone number is 480-970-0000. They're on Mcdowell & Hayden but in August, the clinic is moving to Tempe, just a little south of the present location.

I don't know where you're from, but I found a room on Craigslist last year (when I was really nearly dead), came down and this is the best thing I have ever done! You could do the same maybe?

One doctor told me that no one doesn't get better there. Everybody gets better. I believe him.

And Matt,

If you are going to get all those tests, you may also consider food allergies. Actually, I forgot to mention. They tested me and found I was allergic to 27 different foods! (dairy, beef, chicken, wheat, almonds, eggs, etc) So a lot of the symptoms that I associated with candida (and then cryptosporidium) may have been due to allergies. So I cut down a lot - I am absolutely UNABLE to stick to that diet completely having been so strict previously. But even then, I never ever have a symptom anymore. Nothing at all! No itching, no burning in the bowels.

The doctors think that these allergies are responsible for leaky gut and ongoing inflammation. Well one day I will have to be good... but just not now!

Also, about heavy metals, I disagree with you - we've all been exposed. And my doctor explained to me that it is not so much a question of being exposed (like eating pencils for eg), but some people are what they call \"collectors\". The metals are not excreted as they should be. In the case of lead, it is embedded downright in the bones.

The lab tests are for 21 different metals - not only lead and mercury; there's beryllium (which causes immune dysfunction), cadmium, aluminium, uranium, etc. I was high in uranium, imagine that. How could I ever be high in uranium, where could I get this in my system? I don't recall swimming in the cooling basins at nuclear power plants...

So you see, the fact is you simply DO NOT know what you've been exposed to.

But I guarantee you, as the chelation progresses, little and big ailments vanish. They just evaporate. Because metabolic functions and processes are not hindered by the presence of heavy metals which should under no circumstances be in the body. And the thing is exposure continues through the air, water, soil, all that should sustain life is nowadays contaminated.

Doctors also explained that heavy metals detox is the basis for all detox - because the body has such a hard time getting them out, once they are out, all the rest of pollutants (like organophosphates, radiations, pesticides, solvants, etc) are excreted more easily. Indeed, my liver is now doing so well, am sure it is doing its job better. Like a domino effect really.

For my chigong, I practice a form from a chigong master in Malaysia, Wellness Chigong. So it is not really available in the West. It is quite effective really and I can say it also contributed in my glorious return to health. It just works better
because the heavy metals are leaving. These bastards really block everything!

Gotta go watch Black Books. You British people have the best sense of humor in the world! They make me laugh so much, Bill Bailey and Dylan Moran. But then again, nowadays, every minute is a minute of happiness!
