Permavite - Import Delay

#1 2 years ago
Hi people

Am just wondering if anyone from australia has ordered Permavite from iHerb in the past?

I placed an order over 4 weeks ago and still have not received anything.

Was given no warning before ordering that it may get seized(if that is indeed what has happened?)

So jus wanted to touch base with you guys, any feedback/ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi Sammy,

Which shipping method did you select? If you went with USPS (i.e. shipped actually by ship!) it can routinely take 3-4 weeks.

My experience with iHerb over many years and orders is that they usually dispatch the same or next day and my order arrives in 2-3 days - but then I have always selected DHL as the shipping method. I am in the UK.

I don't see why your Permavite order would have been seized by customs unless you ordered loads of it?

Have tou checked your order status on the iHerb website and contacted them?

Hi Maff,

Yes i used USPS, its been over 4 weeks now. Order wsa placed on the 20th April.

The Post Office manager said \"it should take 7 to 10 days\"

Spoke to her again this morning and she said \"some times even up to 4 weeks\"

I only ordered 3 tins as thats all i can afford.

Yeah i have emailed them, this is the answer i received yesterday:

Hi Sammy,

I've learnt never to use USPS as the few times I have in the past (mainly a few orders from www.prohealth.com) have taken forever and one didn't turn up!

I now always use DHL, especially since iHerb heavily discounted the shipping rates following the start of the financial downturn.

I think the reason they don't offer refunds on items shipped by USPS is because they can't track the order after it has left their warehouse so essentially whatever happens after that is in the hands of the USPS. If you'd used DHL or UPS they would have tracked down your package for you and made sure it was delivered I'm sure.

I really hope your Perm-A-Vite turns up as I know it's not cheap, particularly 3 tubs!!

Let me know if and when it does (or doesn't!)

Hi Maff

Yeah i have used them all - USPS FedEx DHL lots of times over the years, except for Customs delays, i have never had a problem. So this is a first for me.

After numerous phone calls, emails, have done all i could.

Your support is appreciated mate.

Jus wait and see what happens i guess

Sammy,

Did you order the Perm-A-Vite through a link on this site?

If so I could contact the affiliate program manager at iHerb to see if he can be of any help.
