Hi Louisa,

Sorry for taking ages to reply, I was busy last week finishing college work and am generally feeling pretty rubbish myself at the moment *groan*.

It sounds like your consultation with Dr. Mouton can't come soon enough. I really hope he is able to help you in a big way.

How are you this week? I hope there is nothing new for you to deal with!

How was the yoga class? I tried learning from a book but it was too complicated so I learnt qi gong instead, which really gives me a boost of energy and lifts my spirits. I do it every afternoon to keep me going until the evening :)

HInmaff, really sorry to hear that you are struggling too. This week I don't have the painful throat but I'm abit bungee and glands are sore!!
Yoga was good although I had a stinking headache during it and the one where yo lie down and push knees into chest made me feel sick!!!!.....think cause loads of gunk in my tummy!
Qi gong is grEst I have a DVD somewhere.
If you don't mind asking what sort of regular symptoms do you suffer with?
Yes I'm very much looking forward to seeing what dr mouton has to say! I'm also awaiting an appt date to have some CBT! I think what I'm finding tough at mo is the anxiety and not to socialise much is unlike me but as you can very much sympathise when you feel like poo the last thing you want to do is socialise!!!!!
Anyway enough of my droaning on like an old hag!!!
Have a great weekend :)

Hey,

It sounds like your immune system is always struggling with something at the moment...Ihope you get a week off next week!

Glad you enjoyed the yoga. I'm not surprised that posture made you feel sick if your tummy is a bit tender anyway. A lot of movements that squish my liver and intestines give me a lot of pain. Do you still do qi gong too?

Of course I don't mind you asking - that's what the forums are for ;) . The only problem is I don't know where to start! I struggle with both mental and physical fatigue, and have very poor sleep quality (can't sleep at night, can't get up in the morning), various digestive problems and major problems handling stress. I am basically in a constant state of being unable to cope with the simplest things. It's a good job I'm so stubborn and keep going anyway! I did suffer badly with cemical sensitivities for a number of yearsz but thankfully was able to recover from that particular problem...if only I could sort the rest...

I had CBT through the NHS. My unbiased opinion is that the principles of CBT make a lot of sense but I didn't have the motivation to put any of the practical advice into action. I was only able to do so when I had taken up daily meditation as well. For that reason I ould recommend people see if, rather than standard CBT, they could have mindfullness CBT which combines meditative skills with CBT - I think that combination is likely to be uch more effective for most people who are lacking energy and drive due to chronic illness.

I really do empathise completely with you on the socialising. When I am feeling good I love to be around people but when I'm not all I want to do is be alone! I tink you just have to listen to your body and do whatever keeps the stress down. There is always socialising online which is less stressful if not quite the same as the real thing ;)

Great talking to you. Have a great weekend yourself!
