Hi, I have been told I need to take caprylic acid, but cannot take large capsules or tablets and I gather Caprylic Acid capsules cannot be broken open as it is not water soluable and can irritate the mouth and throat. I keep rading about something called Caproil, which is a Caprylic Acid in Olive Oil but I cannot find where to get my hands on some. Any one out there know of a source? Thanks Viv

Hi Viv,
The only liquid caprylic acid I could find at iHerb.com (which usually has everything!) was called 'MCT oil'. You will find it here:
http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails.aspx?c=1&pid=2767
I can't honestly tell you how much you would need to get the equivalent of several caprylic acid capsules per day however. You'd probably end up making yourself sick on too much oil!
I'll keep looking and get back to you. In the mean time, have you tried other natural antifungals such as oregano oil and grapefruit seed extract? Those are both in liquid form.

Viv,
I think this is what you are looking for:
http://www.wholeapproach.com/shop/prod002.html#111
I came across this website years ago but have never tried any of their products.
Their 'Caproyl' product is a mixture of caprylic acid and oleic acid (which reportedly prevents Candida from becoming invasive).
Let me know if this is the product you were looking for.
It would also be good to hear from anybody who has tried Caproyl and other products from Wholeapproach.

Hi Maff, yes thanks, I think that is it. I am going to order it from the States (as I seem unable to track down a u.k supplier), go and get some antigens so I can tolerate taking it, then I shall report back on its effectiveness.

Hi
I have also been looking for liquid caprylic acid on sale in the uk and am also unable to find it. The US company I looked at wanted 126 USD to post to uk which is frankly prohibitive. Anyone know of a UK supplier or good mailing deal for this? Thanks.
