meds for pain management

#1 2 years, 7 months ago
Hello everyone. Been searching the net almost everyday for a possible best solution to ease the pain I'm suffering. I have consulted with 2 specialists already, however my husband encourages me to still look for another opinion. A friend introduced PhoneConsultation.com to us and I am wondering if anyone has ever tried them? Anyone? I learned that this is a face to face doctor visit but that is something new to me. Any information about the website will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi Nikki,

Is the problem that you are having trouble getting your scripts fulfilled by the pharmacy or the specialists you have seen just won't prescribe the pain meds you want?

I'm afraid I haven't heard of PhoneConsultation.com so can't offer an opinion on it.

I'd recommend you have a look at our fibromyalgia news archives however as there are a number of articles about alternative pain relief and therapies that can actually enhance the effectiveness of pain killing meds - these include hypnotherapy and magnet therapy, which may at first sound a bit out there but the research backs them up.

Good luck with PhoneConsultation.com if you decide to give them a try.

Post edited by: Maff, at: 2009/12/07 18:15

Hi Nikki
You mention that you have seen 2 specialists, husband thinks another opinion might be helpful, that you want additional info for pain therapies-did you try the 2 specialists recommendations? I have heard positive responses to the family of medications titled \"pre-gabepentans\". Could you ask your treating practitioner if this could be beneficial for your symptoms or situation? Alternative therapies definately can support alleviation or reduction of numerous symptoms, have you tried any such as massage, osteo-ortho massage, chiro, hypnotherapy,diet/nutritional consultation, sleep management, exercise and pacing strategies?
Cheers in good health! Shauna

Nikki,

I was just wondering if you went ahead with Phone Consultation. I too am suffering from a great deal of pain every day and was looking around on the net and that's when I firt found out about this place. It looks and sounds pretty legit but you never can tell I guess. Please let me know if you decided to go with them and if you are how it's going for you so far. I'm still in the early stages of it:just reading the information they provide.

Thank you,

Jason
