Re:Safe Washing Up Liquid
Hi Virginia,
As Maff says its infuriating when this happens. The trial and error and additional cost is a pain. Unfortunately we can be differrent in our reactions which adds further difficulty.
I agree with Helen Asda eco friendly is tolerable by me and also Ecover but only the marigold and chamomile, I would avoid anything lemon based. It might me worth seeing if ecover will send you a sample.
Good luck
Sarah

Re:Safe Washing Up Liquid
Hi all,
Interesting a few of you have mentioned Asda's eco friendly range for not triggering your symptoms.
I am luck enough that I no longer react to things but I did buy Asda's washing up liquid and found it had a really strong smell so I switched back to Surcare.
I'm not sure which one I tried so will have to take your advice Sarah and give the marigold and chamomile a try.
Very good advice about lemon-based products as well. Cleaning products use lemon oil that has been concentrated to a high degree. Lemon oil contains volatile chemicals such as limonene and linalool which can cause those with MCS major problems. Look out for these chemicals on the labels of supposedly \"safe\" products!

Re:Safe Washing Up Liquid
Thank you all for the help.
My husband has found a concentrated washing-up liquid at \" Tullivers \" in York.
It is : \"concentrated bio D washing-up liquid \"
made by bio D in the UK.1 litre for £2.03.
It is a blend of Coconut Oil,Aqua,Citric Acid,Sodium Chloride and Vegetable Glycerine.
It seems to work OK for me.
I am very grateful for all the suggestions and help.
