I have been ill for 28 yrs'
no energy, dizzy, feel like i have the flu all the time. It started when I was in school I gave a pint of blood to the red cross, two days later I had strep throut. since then I have been ill no doctors can tell me why. They say its all in my head, but i know the difference. It very depressing. I took penicellin for simple illness with no problem, but after the throut problem I became allergic. Could this be EI
Thank You
Laurie

Hi Laurie,
So sorry to hear you've been ill so long without even knowing what the problem is. I think you might be on the right track now so hopefully you can get some relief soon.
From the limited amount of information you've given it certainly sounds like your health problems might fall under the label of EI. From your symptoms and the fact you became ill after antibiotic treatment I would suggest that you might have some kind of gut dysbiosis (disturbance in the normal bacteria and other organisms which live in our gut). Antibiotics can alter the balance of organisms and allow less desirable types to grow in number and cause problems directly and as a result of you absorbing their toxic waste products. Allergies and feeling 'sick all over' are a typical result of this situation.
This condition is not recognised by most doctors but there are special lab tests which can help diagnose it. An environmental illness aware doctor or more holistic healthcare practitioner such as a nutritionist or naturopath will be able to help you diagnose and treat your condition whether it is gut dysbiosis or something else.
Please read the articles on this site and try to find a practioner such as those above in your area. There is a lot that can be done and there's no reason why you can't know what it's like to be healthy once again!
Take care and please come back if you need any more help
