Stellate Ganglion Block
I'm surprised I haven't read about this procedure more, or seen more comments on this, especially after Dr. Lipov performed this on some people with anxiety disorders and PTSD - and it was confirmed by the Walter Reed VA hospital that it works. I am not a veteran, but I believe I sustained an injury similar to what a soldier would experience leaving me with similar symptoms. For a moment, don't put a label on what your condition is, and just read this and see if it makes sense to you..
I think most of us would agree that CFS, MCS, Fibro, PTSD, Anxiety disorders, etc, probably have a common physiological root in the brain.. note that I didn't say psychological.
Many of us sustained a traumatic event, whether it's mold, solvent, pesticides, rape, child abuse, etc. and after that, something permanent changed our brains, and we ended up living in a horrific post-injury state with a giant list of varied symptoms.
I often wonder, how do I get my brain back to pre-injury state, back to normal.
Well, many of us have also heard of Brain Retraining excercises like Ashok Gupta. Dr. Lipov however has a different theory, and it's a stick to the neck that he feels reboots the brain. I think it's worth everyone's time to read about. I'm not a doctor, but what he says makes sense, and he is a very well-known neuro even up in WI where I live. I'm scheduled for a SGB on 6/23/10 and I will let you know how it goes.
stopptsdnow.com watch the video too.
I'm curious if anyone has tried this yet for whatever condition they may have.
Best Regards,
Tom
