Could milk be a cause of autism, celiac disease and other chronic conditions?

This thread discusses the Content article: Could milk be a cause of autism, celiac disease and other chronic conditions?

This is a very interesting article. Although well aware of the theory that partially digested milk protein (along with gluten) can act like an opiate with wide ranging effects on the brain and immune system, I have to admit to being ignorant of the fact that only one type of milk was to blame.

In autistic children, my view is that the success of the gluten and casein free diet, along with widespread digestive problems, is a clear indication of the reality of the problem. More research in this area is clearly needed and a switch to A2 type milk would seem prudent.

Post edited by: Maff, at: 2007/09/25 13:15
