MCS safe sunblock??

#1 2 years, 2 months ago
Hello All,

Now that spring is here in Michigan I am thinking of summer. I need to find a safe sunblock for my 11 year old..when hes with me I dont use any but he goes back and forth with his dad..last summer was a nightmare! They always forgot and put sunblock on him..that stuff is waterproof and made me very ill!

I have tried Alba Botanica fragrance free and to me it still smelled like regular sunblock..

Any sugesstion??

Thanks
Denise

I use Mexitan, chemical-free sunblock. I ordered it from the site.

Mexitan

There's a slight eucalyptus smell that fades in a few seconds after application. It's not a strong smell at all, I put it on next to a friend who can't stand eucalyptus and was fine with it. He even used some of it.

California Baby makes sunscreen a great product line called Super Sensitive (if you try the shampoo and conditioner, make sure it's this one or it will have a scent).

California Baby

Reviews (you can use this link to look up other products too)

I haven't tried the sunscreen, but it looks good.

Airy,

Thanks..I jave tried California Baby bug repellent last summer and I believe it was fragrance free but it still smelled like regular bug spray to me..so I am scared to use their products.

I will look into the Mexitan for sure.

Thanks:)

It looks like Karen's Naturals also offers Aloe Very Sun Cream, Jojoba Oil Sun Cream and Olive Oil Sun Cream. You can order a sample bottle to see if it works for you and specify which ingredient you want for the sun block (I bet it's one of these that's irritating you and you may be able to leave it out all together).

I just did a search and it looks like there are 6 options on the site.

I haven't tried it, but it's worth a shot.

Also, with the Mexitan, less works best with it. You only need a very light layer. Slathering it on, doesn't make it more effective with the way it's formulated.
