Apologies for my slow response - I have been on holiday/vacation.
Has your radiator been painted recently? The most obvious explanation for your reaction would be that the heat is causing the paint to offgas problematic chemicals that trigger your symptoms. This is more likely the newer the paint is but may be an issue anyway.
The problem with removing the radiator would obviously be how to keep warm? If you can survive with layers of clothing, blankets etc then it may be something to consider. It is important that your bedroom is a 'safe haven' free from toxic chemicals as generally people spend the most time there than in any other single room.
