First of all you need to be sure. A medical doctor who practices integrative/functional medicine or a qualified nutrionist would be the best person to do this. There are a number of tests that can be done such as checking for antibodies to Candida in the blood or Candida waste products in the urine. Though not definitive these are useful to confirm the problem. You can then work with them to achieve successful treatment. Treatment for Candida typically involves a low sugar/carbohydrate diet, antifungal medicine or herbs/supplements, and probiotic supplements to re-estbalish the 'good bacteria' in the gut. It's important to investigate food sensitivities and check for leaky gut syndrome and nutritional deficiencies as well since these tend to go along with Candida.
