Hi Tina,
Well I’ve been taking the Nature-throid for 1 week now! I do seem a little bit more tired than when I was on Armour otherwise no side effects, I have 140 of the Armour tabs left so I am going to go back to taking them as from tomorrow, as they have a much earlier use by date! That should take me to beginning of Jan 2010, when I will review the Nature-throid situation. If you try the Nature I would love to hear how you get on with them don’t do my mistake and take too much. Take care Denise

I can’t believe it just as I am feeling great I get this awful, totally devastating E-mail bulleting from Mary !
They have changed the formula of Armour and it’s making people ill, not working as good, apparently the new tablets are crumbly so when I get home from work to day I am going to see which they have sent me. I will cut them in half and see if they are the same, they also have distinctive smell.
God this stinks! I will now have to look for an alternative, I could cry I feel so well and they are taking my health away from me God dam Forrest Laboratories!
May be not everybody has the same reactions, but I don't want to risk going back to what I was before. I will let you know tomorrow if I have the old version and you let me know if yours crumble when you cut them, I know my first lot didn't because the first week I only took half a tablet.
It's seems to me that the big guys may have got to Forrest making them deliberately changing the formula, I do hope not.

When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this — you haven't, I will find an alternative if I have too! Denise - DeniseB

Right ok, I'm glad you told me that, you know what if my bloods come back normal, I am not going to tell him that I am taking Armour, until such a time when things start to improve within the NHS, regarding prescribing it. I know I will have to pay for the Armour but I don't care! its not really that expensive. I am in the usa quite a lot, so eventually i will tell him that I got it over there. - tinac

My bloods came back normal, but then they struck me off their register because they said I had no confidence in them. I would put it much stronger, absolute garbage and a few expletives.

I have not joined another doctors yet as I don’t really see the point, but I suggest you tread carefully when you tell your doctor what you are doing, They told me Armour was dangerous but it the best thing since sliced bread, it is all a controversy to make money out of synthetic rubbish, because Armour is natural you can not put a patent on it so therefore not make lots of money out of selling it!

I would love to get some suggestions here as to where to go and what to do next, it makes me very angry that so many people are suffering needlessly because Doctor’s are taking back-hander’s from Pharmaceutical companies. Denise

Hi guys,

I want to apologise for the comments system currently only allowing around 20 comments on each blog. I will have this fixed within a few weeks.

However, I have rearranged the forums this week and created a forum specifically for thyroid disorders where you can reply as many times as you wish (I promise!).

Here it is: Thyroid Disorder Forums

(or you can access it from the main forum link at the top of every page).

Glad you're doing well Denise and good luck with the treatment Tina :) - Maff

Glad you had a good holiday, kep me posted. thanks Tina - tina c

Hi Tina
Hope you get this message seems other blog is full up?
So glad to hear you are feeling better. I think you may take a little longer than I did to seem the real benefits, because you took that Levothyroxine poison for 4 years, I could hardly breath on that stuff, it has to get out of your system to make you feel better, also it starves your body of T3 and makes your adrenals work much harder, from what I have learnt you may need to take additional T3. please keep at it, if you want an extra boost you could take Q10, I have found it gives you that little bit more get up and go!
I had a wonderful holiday thanks, take care Denise - DeniseB

I am off on my holidays, I finish work in less than two hours and I have energy now to enjoy them, I want eveyone to get out of the black hole they call Levothyroxine and experience the blue skies and the mind clarity that Armour thyroid has given me, and stop this thyroid madness. Yipee, I am back and Cornwall here I come! Denise - DeniseB
