Five months later I still have an acne problem and there is no difference whatsoever in my complexion as far as I can truthfully see. I drank at least 1.5 litres of water per day religiously. By three months I feared they were useless, but persisted. I was going to continue for six months but gave up after five months because I had had enough of wearing the damn things for no gain. They cost me almost £300 which I could ill afford to just chuck away. The LifeWave Energy Enhancer patches seemed like something very new and exciting so I rushed out to buy a pack. Obviously I was open to them working but I didn't expect them to work as well as they do. After a few days to a week of wearing a patch every day I really did start to notice I had more energy and was less fatigued after exercise. I do have a number of health problems that I won't get into but I do as much exercise as I can without overdoing it. I also notice my mind is clearer and I'm able to focus better at work when I use the patches. I've been using them for a number of months now and the effects don't see to be wearing off. I'm pretty sure a placebo effect wouldn't have lasted that long so I intend to keep using them. The only downside is remembering to apply the patches in the morning and the fact they do tend to fall off during the day. I've solved this problem by applying a bandaid over the top which I guess doesn't interfere with how they work. I can't say I had such a quick reaction as the reviewer above but after a few days I definitely noticed something was going on. I did initially experience the detox reaction but this lasted a few days at most and after that I simply experienced more energy and a clearer head. I also think my immune system has improved as I have for a long time had eczema and frequent infections which both see to have become less frequent and severe. To top this off my heavy metal load has decreased on both blood and hair mineral analysis tests since I started using these patches. The only negatives are the slightly high cost and the sometimes poor adhesive meaning the patches sometimes fall off part way through the day. Personally I think he has been had by the placebo effect. I eat a good clean diet, exercise regularly, and avoid alcohol and drugs, but I have seasonal allergies that are off the scale this year and haven't been sleeping great. So I bought these patches to try and boost my energy while fatigued. Unlike the reviewer above, I noticed absolutely no effect from using the patches. I read and re-read the booklet and adjusted the placements. I tried using the patches for multiple days, too, because I wanted to justify the money I spent. In the end I gave up. I bought a different product, the Spot-On Energy patch, which contains green tea, b-vitamins, and a small amount of good old caffeine. They work, they work well, and they're a lot cheaper. Within 15 minutes of first applying one I began to feel slightly nauseous and woozy. Since nothing enters the body from the patches I can only assume this was a "Detox" reaction due to toxins being mobilised in my body by increased glutathione levels. I have tried many other ways of raising glutathione from reduced glutathione and N-Acetyl-Cysteine supplements to non-denatured whey and intravenous glutathione and never experienced a reaction like this. Studies carried out so far on the Lifewave glutathione patch have indeed shown it is able to raise blood glutathione levels significanctly in a very short period of time. I continued to wear the patches for a month and for the first 3 or 4 times I always experienced the "detox" reaction but after that I simply gained a general sense of well being which may well have continued to increased had I used the patches longer. Which brings me to my only negative point....cost. A month's supply of the Lifewave glutathione patch costs around $60. I would like to use them on a continual basis but this is currently beyond my financial reach. I do use the Lifewave Silent Nights patches to aid sleep as I feel this is most important. When put into context however, Lifewave glutathione patches are comparable in price to non-denatured whey products which I have found to be less effective in a clearly discernible way. My advice would be to try the patches for yourself and see if you get any benefits. Trial packs are available cheaply which allow you to see if they work for you before you pay out for a month supply. Like many people I was initially sceptical of Lifewave patches but chronic illness has taught me that it is worth trying anything no matter if science has proven how it works or not (especially where there is no risk involved). With this in mind I decided to give the LifeWave patches a go, despite the high cost, and have since tried a number of different patches. The Rest Quiet patches claim to induce a restful night's sleep followed by a day of increased energy. Getting straight to the point I have to say this is exactly what I got! Placing one of the patches on my temple I climbed into bed and awaited the results. On waking the next day it was readily apparent that the patch had had a positive effect. I don't recall waking during the night at all, which is common for me, and I definitely felt more rested than usual. I generally wake feeling groggy and anxious and it takes 30 minutes to an hour for me to get going. After using the Rest Quiet patch I felt relaxed and happy and certainly had more energy than usual. As a result of having a better night's sleep I also felt better throughout the next day and was able to be more productive. I continued to use the patch daily and the results were the same every night. In fact, my quality of sleep continued to gradually improve the more I used the patch. The Energy Enchancer patches come in the form of 2 small patches of different colours, one to be applied to the left side of the body and one to the right. The patches can be placed in a handful of strategic locations depending on the activities that the users engages in. There are different prescribed locations for long distance running and weightlifting for example. The patches come with a glossy booklet explaining all of this with handy diagrams. The patches themselves are the size of an average coin and compose of clear plastic with a central area containing the magic ingredients. It must be stressed that nothing actually enters the body from the patches, they supposedly work on similar principals to acupuncture, using the body's energy system; "Software for the Body" as the marketing goes. It is suggested that the Energy Enhancer patch stimulates production of carnitine in the body. Carnitine is an amino acid that transports fatty acids into the mitochondria where they are utilized in energy production. No matter how they work, I can report from my personal experience that they DO work, and very effectively. After applying the Energy Enhancer patches for the first time I quickly began to feel highly energized. I felt more energetic physically and a lot brighter mentally. This was maintained for the 12 hours I wore the patches and for some time afterwards. Skeptics may suggest this was just placebo effect but I would have to say the effect was far too powerful for that and was repeated on subsequent times that I wore the patches. There are only 2 drawbacks to the Energy Enhancer I would mention. First, they did end up keeping me awake at night as I was TOO energized. This may well be just me as I tend to have the same experience with anything that has an energizing/stimulant effect.
