I think with candida it is the only way because it's such a tough thing to beat—I've tried just about every diet plan for about 6 years, and this seems to be the only thing that works. I'm taking ThreeLac now, in addition to the diet, and hoping that will speed things up so I can eventually eat normal food again.

Anyway, the book is totally well-written and comprehensive and down-to-earth. I think Donna Gates has done her homework on the subject of anti-yeast/parasite dieting, and I look forward to her next book on the subject.

I learned about ORAC antioxidant effects on free radicals. How alkalin, acid, pH ballance affects health. I did some Electro Dermal Scans, found I had a stressed liver. Learned of Andrea Morits and did the Amazing Liver and Gall Bladder flush 8 times. I was pleased with alot of the improvements in my health but had some lingeringing issues. Knowing that "Health Is Out There" I saw a lady for EPFX SCIO Bio Feedback. She said I had Candida. Out of all the Chiropractic, Naturopathic Dr.s I had seen no one ever told me I had candida. I knew very well what it was. She said "No sugar". Change your diet, eat green vegitables, more vitamins B,C,D Protien, get the book Body Ecology Diet.
I do belive I have Candida. I stopped eating the foods with sugar. Vitmin D is amazing. Juice lemons with the peeling on for vitamin C and alkalinity. BED refers to Fit For Life. I had the book from the 80s reread last Saturday. Protien-Starch food combining explained better than BED, but he talks about fruit as the super food. I bought a bunch of organic fruit, really bad if you have Candida. I got a Bladder infection but did not want to take antibiotics. Life gets real serious. Now I am told to eat according to my blood type.
I am trying to digest and prosses all this diet change drink keefer milk and eat an A blood type diet. I do believe I need to get rid of the Candida in my body. I found it hard to believe my body from birth does not have the capacity to produce enough acid to digest meat. I just did a web search of Medical Reviews of The Blood Type Diet. As I suspected there is no evidence supporting the blood type diet. I am disapointed the BED had to include this in the book. Weeding out all the BS is not somthing everyone can do.
Read the reviews of the Blood Type Diet before you spend much time understanding your blood type. Creating a body ecology that does not feed Candida is a major life style change, but you can leave Dr. D'amado out of the picture.
