Well I've been taking the Nature-throid for 1 week now! I do seem a little bit more tired than when I was on Armour otherwise no side effects, I have 140 of the Armour tabs left so I am going to go back to taking them as from tomorrow, as they have a much earlier use by date! That should take me to beginning of Jan 2010, when I will review the Nature-throid situation.
If you have tried or you are going to try Nature-throid I would love to hear how you get on with them, don't make my mistake and take too much. If you know of any other helpful treatments please let me know. Any advise would be welcome and I would love to hear of your experiences. Take care Denise

Just wanted to mention that vitamin B3 is very effective at lowering high cholesterol and doesn't have the side-effects of statins. Various forms of vitamin B3 are known by names including niacin, nicotinic acid, and niacinamide. Research has repeatedly demonstrated the cholesterol-lowering effects of these nutrients.
I'd really be wary of taking statins as Denise has already said. Dr. Mercola's site has a lot of information about their downsides. If you get treated for your thyroid problems properly your cholesterol should return to normal anyway but in the meantime vitamin B3, a diet high omega-3 and omega6 fatty acids, and soluble fibre would be preferable to statins in my opinion.

Dr. and without testing me he doubled my 1 grain dose and I quickly became Hyperthyroid and it was severe. Be careful this is not a simple suppletment it is a serious drug and it works etremely well if used properly.
