So much for the steady week!
After a good week and a reasonable schedule of events lined up over the weekend, things were looking good.

I have had candida for many years and twelve years ago when a practitioner told me to stop taking probiotics and I did so I suddenly found myself totally unable to take almost any vitamins, minerals, anti-fungals, medications, etc. - any pills (including anything in liquid form). Now the candida is causing a chronic viral infection for 1.5 years and other complications and I must try to get the candida reduced. Can anyone tell me how they cope with or coped with severe, I am talking severe, oversensitivity? I could not even drink alkaline water without a reaction. The reaction I get is in my chest and then I cannot sleep. It feels as though someone has twisted my chest with a wrench slightly or more depending on how much of a supplement I have taken. Then I have to go off of it for several days. I have been off work four months trying to resolve virus which I finally realized will not resolve without some address to candida. Thank you. DianeMarie

I've had a reasonably steady week this week which bodes well. I did have some stressfull moments at work but managed to absorb it pretty well.

Mornings usually begin with a sense of calmness as my body slowly kicks into gear. The stillness of the world is not replicated in my mind as from the moment my eyes open, all sorts of swirling thoughts beyond my control populate my brain.
I wander to the toilet and take a piss, routinely confused about where the fluid comes from considering my limited water intake the night before. Negotiating the stairs is next on the agenda, followed by the preparation of my breakfast and (first) lunch. As my body likes to reject most foods, vegetables and sunflower seeds are on the menu, occasionally with an avocado. I’ll wack the veg in the steamer along with some lunch veggies, strain the seeds I soaked overnight and hop upstairs for a shower.

Browsing through the online news looking for stories about multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS) yesterday, I came across a review of a play which features a main character with the illness.
The review features in the The Record, a local newspaper serving Troy and surrounding areas in New York state. The play is titled 'Sick' and features a 17-year- old character called Davey who suffers from MCS. Davey's family live in a New York apartment and protect him by turning their home into a chemical-free zone - something anyone who suffers from MCS knows is a necessity.

Well I’ve allowed myself a little grumble today.
My positivity and calmness have been tested today both with uncomfortable symptoms of a constant stomach ache which I believe to be an ulcer, and liver ache worse than usual. I’m not sure whether this is the fallout from using Threelac or the result of adding a few more supplements and foods to my regime.
Despite probably eating enough fiber from vegetables alone, I have added both oat bran and rice bran to my diet, adding to the cellulose powder I already take. Prior to this my diet was predominantly grain free and although my bowel movements are regular, they are a poor consistency or often pale.
The odd thing is despite my liver feeling worse and generally feeling a little stuffy in the head, my 3 bowel movements today were a much better colour and consistency. Maybe it is a mini detox reaction, and perhaps the additional insoluble fiber is helping the consistency, however I can’t think what might have prompted a darker browner colour. Perhaps it was due to me not eating as many greens yesterday as these tend to add a green tint.

Hi, my daughter is constantly being misdiagnosed........ I have been researching her symptoms and think she is suffering from some type of Candida; not just the usual Thrush which appears to be common, its quite severe affecting her mental state too. I can now approach our G.P to discuss further. My question is "is anyone aware of whether it would affect her menstrual cycle; because hers has stopped? and I am unable to clarify this anywhere....
Any help will be great

Interesting first week on the Threelac.
I made the initial mistake of continuing the dose of my regular probiotic (50 bill per capsule) whilst introducing one sachet of Threelac. As a result my brain fog reached mach 10 in a couple of days which resulted in poor sleep, accompanied by general mild die off symptoms. I quickly cut back the dose to prevent anything too strenuous.
The good news is my liver and bowel movements have been holding up well. Threelac and die-off in general both often result in constipation in the early stages which makes clearing out Candida equivalent to skating uphill.
Had a quick look into molybdenum. As is the case with most supplements there are positives and negative arguments. The positive side suggests that molybdenum is a mineral that can break down acetaldehyde (one of the Candida toxins) into acetic acid. As Acetaldehyde cannot be excreted from the body, it accumulates, stressing the liver. Its accumulation in the body is (apparently) responsible for muscle weakness, irritation and pain. The flip side is apparently it can cause copper deficiency, which has some nasty symptoms if severe.
I’ve decided to order a bottle and try a drop a day as it’s relatively cheap.
I also tried my some meditation at the local Buddhist centre. Attempting this whilst you have die off and brain fog is tricky, but I still found it worthwhile. The ‘style’ of meditation is simply mindfulness meditation, aimed at maintaining your focus in the present. Those that have read books by Eckhart Tolle will be familiar with the principals and benefits of attempting to live in the present, and it’s difficult to find fault with the concepts. Unfortunately those that have a mental component to illness will find it difficult, as I discovered last night, however despite feeling like the whole experience was difficult, upon exiting the meditation I did notice a slight shift in consciousness which hopefully meant on some level, however small, I was able to focus on the present for sections of time.

When it comes to what is variously known as intestinal yeast overgrowth, fungal-type dysbiosis, gut fermentation syndrome, or simply Candida, it is safe to say that prevention is much simpler than cure. Ignored by the conventional medical establishment, people affected by this condition often struggle to treat themselves to alleviate their many symptoms which can range from fatigue, muscle aches and pains, and general malaise to cognitive symptoms such as poor concentration and memory, and mood disturbances including depression, anxiety, irritability, restlessness, and mood swings. Most of these symptoms are likely the result of the chronic absorption of toxins produced by Candida (or whatever fungal organism is the problem), primarily ethanol and acetaldehyde, and the consequences these substances have on metabolic functions.

I’ve decided to re-take the plunge by adding Threelac to my supplement regime.
I did try Threelac many moons ago and started to see some reasonable results, however I foolishly stopped taking it for some reason. I think I was deterred too quickly by some nasty smelling flatulence and bowel movements, later realising this is usually an indication the little critters are getting to work.
