Cookies
Cookies are small files automatically installed on your computer when you visit certain web sites. These files can be used for various reasons, some harmless, some malicious. In addition to the cookies used by third-party advertising partners, as above, The Environmental Illness Resource will store cookies on your computer if you register as a user. The cookies are used in the login process e.g. so the site knows if you are logged in or not and how long you have been logged in. We will not use cookies for any purpose other than to ensure the site itself functions correctly with regard to members logging in. Cookies may also be stored by your web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) so that if you return to a page at The Environmental Illness Resource you have previously visited, it will not have to load the data for the page all over again. This reduces the amount of time webpages take to load thus improving your online experience.
Advertising Policy

These companies may use the information outlined above (which does not include your name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. These companies often use a cookie or third party web beacon to collect this information (see 'Cookies' above). If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about opting out of having this information used by these companies, click here .
You may also see products for sale throughout the site. For any of these (Google and Kontera excluded) The Environmental Illness Resource only receives a commission if you follow a link to a vendors website and make a purchase there.
