Most important- Good sense of humour, easy to talk to, positive attitude, determined. I am now on a disability pension. I used to be a nurse and and worked in the medical, surgical and mental health fields. I have worked in private and public hospitals and services and had my own counselling service. I am single, have pets and a garden and I am into arts and crafts when I am well enough. These illness really try my patience, and I, like you, am Sick of being sick !'.
I have many activities that I like to do when not confined to bed, and that has not been for a few months at the moment. I am keen to make new friends.

Fibromyalgia, CFS, Depression,spinal injuries, IBS (if not careful with diet),Many food and chemical sensitivites. Sure to have missed something out but you get the gist.!

Changes daily. Today I feel I have been beaten up with a baseball bat. Have been doing well and have been highly functioning lately, not predictable though. I have learned much about my mind and body over the years. I find if I do the right thing for myself diet, exercise etc, I will be very well. If I break the rules, I suffer the consequences.
