About me

I have had Fibro and CFS for years about 10 years ago reactions to smells became a problem. Same time I could no longer tolerate antidepressants as a treatment. In the last six months a movement disorder has developed... it is not constant and is obviously set off by reactions. I shake and bounce and can't maintain. After 18 months of waiting I was dx at the Environmental Health Clinic in Toronto On.
Walking is just part of the problem... the list grows.

BL Thank you for your reply Sandy. Both Annie Hopper and Ashok Gupta try to explain how one's brain may have fallen into a faulty pattern. I think Ashok Gupta's first three DVDs may still be available free on his site and on You tube. I spent a couple of years researching detox methods including Sherry Rogers but felt lots of explanation was lacking and supplements, removal of amalgam fillings and attempting sauna (which made me feel so unwell that it was a non-starter) did nothing. One can never be dogmatic about what helped because I certainly practiced avoidance but this in itself did not seem to result in a decrease in sensitivity. Once I learned and got a feeling for brain retraining techniques I did seem to be able to reduce or stop symptoms when they occurred on exposure to chemicals so this was a further encouragement that I was on the right track.

The Dvd programmes are a lot cheaper than detox. Both address MCS but the DNRS does so more specifically. I wish I had taken a leap of faith to try these 2-3 years earlier when I first thought about it. I did try and find out as much as I could, on the Planet Thrive support site and the internet in general, about people who had managed to recover from MCS and this encouraged me that there might be a possibility of recovery.
