5 Tips To Finding The Right Personal Trainer

With swim season just around the corner, finding the right personal trainer for your needs can be challenging. There are so many trainers to choose from that it can be overwhelming. Luckily, you’re not alone, and many people looking to start their health journey are in the same boat as you. Before you make a decision, here are some important things to consider.

Know Your Fitness Goals

You may be looking for a personal trainer to complete that 10K you signed up for, or you’re looking to get in shape for your wedding day, or just because you want to look and feel your best. Regardless of the reason, make sure you know your goal. Do you want to lose weight? Are you looking to tone up your abs for beach season? Make sure you and your trainer are on the same page no matter what the goal. How can they help you if they don’t know? Be sure to communicate clearly.

Test The Waters By Taking A Fitness Class

There’s a high chance that your Thursday night boxing instructor offers personal training classes along with their weekly classes. Take several different classes with different trainers and see which one you like the most. This is just an idea of what a one-on-one class could be like. Also, use this opportunity to try new workouts that you’re not so familiar with and see if you can add it into your new routine. If you’re interested in dance cardio, think about taking a class with 305 Fitness, that’s also offering at-home workouts so you don’t need to leave your living room. If the instructor feels like someone you’d like to workout with again, don’t hesitate to reach out.

In The Gym Or At Home?

Are you looking to use your trainer for at-home workouts or in the gym? Many trainers meet with their clients in the gym, but at home, workouts are possible as well, especially during the COVID-19 crisis. Many trainers are taking their workouts and moving them to a personalized FaceTime session. Some online training sessions can be cheaper than an in-person one, according to trainer Tina Reale. “The cost is typically significantly less too. For example, my online training programs cost less per month than most hour-long in-person sessions.”

Check Their Social Channels

There’s a good chance the trainer you’re looking to hire posts their workouts and clients on their social media channels. Instagram should be your first place to look. What about them do you like? Is it their energy? Their ability to motivate their clients? Whatever it is, you’ll get the inside scoop on their training techniques by viewing their social media channels. If you’re hesitant about the trainer with the killer abs and if everything they say and do is legit, you can find all the answers you’re looking for on Go Look Up, which is a 100% free people finder that has all of the information on anyone you need, which includes background checks, arrest records, etc.

Can They Help You With Your Diet?

Hitting the weights is one way to work on your fitness goal, but eating the right foods is just as important, and any trainer can tell you that. See if your trainer will give you a food plan or guide you in the right direction.

Along with promoting workouts and clients, trainers may promote supplements they use on a daily basis, such as supplements like Calerie, which is a great start to your health journey. Calerie ingredients work to boost NAD production in the body. NAD, or nicotinamide, fuels the body and assists with high energy and good health.
