Giving birth is a significant milestone and a life-changing event for you and your family. The days and weeks following the delivery of your new baby can be quite trying on new mums. However, there are ways to combat your stress and ensure that you heal properly.
 
You must make self-care a priority during this transition period. You may experience sleepless nights and struggle to cope at times, but you have to give yourself a break as you adjust. Otherwise, you risk experiencing health issues or complications if you aren’t doing all that’s in your power to stay well. 
 
Monitor Your Mood
 
It’s normal to experience some baby blues after giving birth, and you may find that some days are more challenging than others. You’ve been through a lot, after all, and if you’re a first-time mum, you likely have a lot of questions and concerns on your mind. However, postnatal depression is real, and it is a more severe condition that you should address if you think that you’re experiencing it.   • Grains
  • Vegetables
  • Fruits
  • Protein
  • Low-fat dairy products
These foods will not only help you have more energy, but you’ll also likely start to lose your pregnancy weight. Try your best to stay away from foods that may negatively impact your moods though, such as sugars, alcohol, and bad fats. It’s about eating well-balanced meals and making sure you’re mindful of what you’re putting in your body.
