Introduction

Wrinkles are developments that occur in men and women as they age and they are inevitable. This is usually caused by a decrease in the production of collagen and this causes the skin to lose the firmness. Wrinkles may also be caused by lifestyle factors like stress and exposure to harmful rays of the sun. There are different foods that can be taken and they can help to reduce wrinkles and fine lines that appear on the skin.

The Rumor: Certain foods can help you stay young

There is a rumor that the foods that are ingested will help one to stay young. This should not be taken as a rumor because it is true. The truth is that the foods that are taken will determine the overall quality of the skin.

Some foods really will help you turn back time.

There are foods that will provide the body with necessary nutrients for the skin. These foods will help to turn back time because they keep one looking young and prevent the development of wrinkles.

What If I live For the Sun?

It is advisable to avoid too much exposure to the sun. This is because the UV rays of the sun are harmful to the skin. The people who live in areas that are too hot are encouraged to wear protective clothes like hats and long sleeved shirts. It is also important to take the foods that will promote the health of the skin.

What's On the Anti-Wrinkle Menu?

1. Cherries

Cherries contain antioxidants that provide the body with antioxidants. This protects the skin from being damaged by those radicals that are free in the body.
Cherries are also rich in vitamin C that provides the necessary nutrients that are needed for the skin and this helps to prevent wrinkles.

2. Pumpkin seeds

One of the nutrients that are contained in pumpkin is acids rich in alpha hydroxyl that helps to remove the worn out skin. These acids help to remove the dead cells in the skin and replace them with new cells and this helps to rejuvenate the skin. Pumpkin seed also contain carotenoids that are turned into vitamin A by the body. Vitamin A is an antioxidant that helps to regenerate the skin.

3. Broccoli

Broccoli is a good source of vitamin C that is important in maintaining the health of the skin. Research has shown that the people who take foods that are low in vitamin C have wrinkled and dry skin. Vitamin C is important in the production of collagen and it also acts as an antioxidant. Broccoli also helps to deliver the necessary nutrients to the skin. This includes coenzyme Q10 and carotene that help to provide anti oxidant protection.

4. Sweet potatoes

Sweet potatoes are rich in vitamin A and C that provide the body with carotenoids. This acts as antioxidants that help to remove the harmful substance from the body including the skin. Carotenoids also help to prevent collagen from being broken down and this helps to prevent wrinkles. Sweet potatoes are rich in vitamin C that promotes the production of hyaluronic acid, a protein that is synthesized in the body. This protein helps to keep the skin supple and smooth.

5. Blueberries

According to a research that was done, blue berries have more antioxidants than strawberries. These foods are rich in vitamin C and they help, to strengthen the formation of collagen. This helps to decrease the symptoms of aging including the appearance of wrinkles. There are other health benefits that one can get from the intake of berries and they include increased blood flow that ensures that the skin is getting the required nutrients.

6. Tomatoes

Tomatoes contain lycopene, a strong chemical in plants that helps to reduce the damage of the skin. It also helps to reduce the redness that may appear on the skin.
This chemical is best absorbed in an environment that has a healthy fat. Therefore, it is advisable to mix olive oil that is rich in extra virgin to tomato sauce. This will help to enhance the absorption of lycopene.

It is advisable to take the foods listed above to maintain the health of the skin instead of spending money on treatments that are used for anti aging. These foods will help the skin to look healthy and prevent other disease that occurs with increased age.

Conclusion

The foods that are taken will determine the aging process of an individual. It is advisable to take foods that will provide the body with necessary nutrients to keep it young and healthy. These foods include pumpkin seeds, sweet potatoes, cherries, blue berries, tomatoes and broccoli.

  • Interesting article!! I agree to the point that the main reason for early onset of aging is too much exposure to UV rays. I would like to add a point to the anti wrinkle menu, i.e. one should include honeydew melon in their diet as it is a good source of natural collagen also you can include collagen drink to have rapid effects.
