I have always wondered how bad depression could get when you're a teen in high school. Could it be controlled? Or could you make it stop?

This is one thing I want the answer to. How many levels are there?

  • Hi,

There are many degrees of depression and it can be a very serious illness. Age doesn't matter and as a teenager there is no doubt a lot going on in your life and it can often be hard to cope. If you think you might be suffering from depression it is vital you talk to someone you trust about it and see your doctor.

Luckily there are many treatment options and depression can usually be successfully treated. Some of these include antidepressant medications, counselling, exercise, changes to your diet, nutritional supplements and herbal medicines.
