PBS STATIONS JULY 2009

Discoveries in Alternative Medicine

Western Nanotechnology Meets Eastern Medicine

An acclaimed television program shown on PBS stations across the U.S. will showcase LifeWave’s innovative products in a segment scheduled to air later this spring. Producers for Discoveries in Alternative Medicine interviewed several top distributors and medical team members at our La Jolla, CA on March 23-24, 2009.

The award-winning series, which reaches more than 30 million households nationwide, covers a diverse range of alternative and complementary health issues. David Schmidt, founder and CEO of LifeWave, expects the upcoming broadcast to give the company positive national exposure. “Not only will the program provide new opportunities for members to build their business, the in-depth investigation will be a credible resource for concise research that supports LifeWave’s technology,” he said.

David also shared that the program’s producer was enthusiastic about the interviews. “The producer said that he’s interviewed over 4000 health care practitioners for the program, but LifeWave’s medical doctors were the most passionate he’s ever seen. He was impressed with the quality of research they’ve conducted.”

Among the medical doctors appearing on the program is health and life coach and LifeWave member Sherry Blake-Greenberg, who holds doctorates in homeopathy, psychotherapy, and naturopathy. During her interview, she shared the results of her recent clinical study on the Y-Age Glutathione patch.

Using an Electro Interstitial Scanning (EIS) system, which measures and interprets resistance to the flow of electric current through fluid between the body’s cells, Dr. Sherry found that within 30 days of use, the Glutathione patch produced statistically significant beneficial activity in all seven major organs of the body.

Not only does Dr. Sherry use LifeWave patches herself, she also recommends them to her patients. In many cases, she relates, patients returning for a follow-up consultation affirm that their energy levels have dramatically improved, that they feel and look younger, and that they have an overall sense of well being.

Dr. Sherry was first introduced to LifeWave patches at a 2004 demonstration in Houston. She was asked to try the Energy Enhancer patch and immediately felt that she had more energy than prior to wearing it. As she put it, the Energy Enhancer patch “jumpstarts the system.”

The PBS program also features Dr. Steve Haltiwanger, LifeWave’s medical director and life coach. We first contacted Dr. Steve in 2003 to evaluate the patch technology, and he was immediately impressed with the results. “The technology worked exactly as LifeWave claimed it did,” he explained.

Dr. Steve hopes the upcoming program will spark viewers’ curiosity about the company and how they might benefit from its products. “This TV program will showcase LifeWave’s technology and make it simple for everyone to understand,” he explained. “As the medical director, my primary role is to be a communicator, to help people understand the value of LifeWave’s products.” Part of his communications role is to share clinical research with people interested in the patches. “I enjoy showing how effective the technology is. The research substantiates the claims that the patches improve energy and control pain,” he said.

Dr. Steve also coordinates scientific studies with clinicians and medical researchers. Through these studies, he learns more about how the patches work and how people can use them more effectively. “The patches are best demonstrated to show how beneficial the technology can be in addressing basic issues, such as maintaining energy, getting a restful sleep, or controlling pain.” IceWave, for example, “gives people an option for managing pain,” but only “when the patches are properly applied, which takes some degree of learning how to do.”

Also interviewed on the program were Drs. Tom Budzynski, Dean Clark, and Quila Rider. All three medical experts showed astonishing results after conducting separate studies on the patches. Dr. Tom, a prominent neurologist, found that positive bioelectrical changes occur only minutes after applying an Energy Enhancer patch. He published his findings in the Journal of Neurotherapy last year.

Dr. Dean, a U.S. Olympic team physician, talked about his clinical research using infrared imaging to show the immediate thermal changes after applying IceWave on painful areas of the body. (Read more about Dr. Dean’s research here.)

Dr. Quila, an acupuncturist, registered nurse, and certified nurse midwife, shared details on her clinical study of the Y-Age Glutathione patch. Using blood and urine tests, she found that the patch removed all toxins.

We’ll definitely let you know when PBS sets the airdate. After the 30-minute episode airs later this spring, we plan on using the investigative report as the basis for a new DVD that will help you showcase research on our products. We’ll also post a shorter version of the video on our Web site for you to watch and download. Check back for more details soon!
