Hi,

Just registered so I don't know if this has already been asked. I've been diagnosed with ME and IBS; been unwell since the age of 10 and my condition is getting worse day by day. I've been going to a Homeopathic hospital (the only place that seems to deal with ME in my city) but it's been a waste of time. I heard about Matthew Hogg on VICE and suspect I may be suffering from the Auto-brewery Syndrome.

I have arranged an appointment with my GP for next Tuesday. Could someone please advise which tests I should ask to be carried out in order to get an effective diagnosis? Sadly I don't have any faith that doctors will know the suitable tests due to lack of knowledge of such illnesses.

Thanks in advance,
Kiana

I also did not do not trust the doctors . I did not go the route your going . But my issue is different .I am thinking that these problems we are having are due to the lack of a certain enzyme .the issue if what i say was true is which one or ones you have weak or missing . Curious though what is your diet like .Can you eat anything you want or have you adjusted due to health .
Since you were 10 ,That would really shape your life . I hope you find someone /specialist you can trust .
