nbruzgyte - Glad the coffee enemas have been effective at elevating your glutathione levels. John Parks Trowbridge discusses them at length in The Yeast Syndrome - still the best book on Candida/yeast-related illness in my opinion (despite being almost 30 years old!). Oral supplementation is one of the poorer methods as glutathione is a tri-peptide so is simply broken down into its constituent amino acids in the digestive system - you're better off taking N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC). Was it the Lifewave patches you used or a transdermal glutathione patch?

Tracy - I have had excellent results with the admittedly controversial Lifewave glutathione patches. All I can say is that 15 minutes after putting the first one on I had a classic detox reaction (feeling weak, drowsy, flu-like) - same as I've had from other detox methods like lympthatic drainage. And this is exactly what you'd expect if body levels of glutathione were suddenly raised.

You need to be referred to register and purchase the patches so if you want to look into it you can do so by visiting - http://www.lifewave.com/ei-resource

I wrote a blog about my experiences with these patches if you want to have a read - Lifewave Glutathione Patch - Will it Improve Liver Function?

Re: Coffee enemas. The Yeast Syndrome is a great book and has detailed instructions on coffee enemas. You will pick up a copy for a few $AUS on Amazon. Alternatively, I am sure there are some reliable instructions to be found online if you have the time to search.

All the best guys :)

Another way to raise glutathione particularly if you have sulphation pathway problems is niacin, glutamine & glycine. I noticed the difference within 12 hours. Check out this:

How about using CO Q-10 that is supposed to boost gluathione as well. I can not use glutamine

Yes, Co-Q-10 is a good "all rounder" and is itself an antioxidant. The addition of other antioxidants will generally have a sparing effect on reduced glutathione in the body. Of course Q10 is also vital for mitochondrial metabolism and anything that helps these cellular powerhouses run more efficiently will have many positive effects for overall metabolism, including glutathione levels and detoxification in general.

Just out of interest mcscanary, what issues do you have with glutamine? It's often a useful supplement as it detoxifies ammonia...as well as being a component of glutathione.
