Which pesticides were Gulf War vets exposed to? 5 years 5 months ago #1

I notice this site has a lot of information relating to Gulf War Syndrome and was just wondering if any Gulf War veterans out there could tell us first hand what types of pesticides they were exposed to during their deployments?

I have read that both organophosphate and organochlorine pesticides were used. I wonder particularly if DDT was used as the first Gulf War was well before the Stockholm Convention that banned its use worldwide in 2001. Was DDT exposure in use even in the 2003- war? It seems to me like pesticide poisoning could be a huge part of the illnesses suffered if this was the case.

I appreciate it may be hard for vets to talk about issues like this in a public forum but figured there was no harm in putting the question out there. Thanks.
