I came across this article yesterday
www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2012/nov...how-to-beat-insomnia
it's a good read, less of the usual patronising stuff about "go to bed early with a good book.."
The last paragraph recommends an online programme...
"Sleep hygiene" alone, however, will not determine whether or not we sleep well. Ninety per cent of the battle is in the mind, which is why talking therapies and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) are coming to be seen as perhaps the most useful solution. Espie helped launch Sleepio,
www.sleepio.com/about/ a pioneering online CBT programme that has won praise from the medical press, including the Lancet and the peer-reviewed journal Sleep. In a full clinical trial, it helped 75% of people with long-term poor sleep."
This could be really helpful for people here, since most of us have trouble with meds, and it is true that 90% of insomnia is psychological, you can't sleep cos you know you have to kinda thing...
