hi miriam, i live i new jersey and am experiencing my own debilitating problems with mcs. i've been to half a dozen doctors and have been on over 25 medications since april. i with i could find one doctor who could cover my breathng, throat and eye problems. i wish you luck. i was told when my "incident" first happened that i may feel like i'm loosing my mind, i couldn't appreciate that statement at the time but i do now. it's mentally and emotionally debilitating trying to find help. it's amazing that more doctors aren't researching this. i started with an ent, moved on to pulminologist, opthomologist, and my gp. i haven't been able to work yet the doctors are reluctant to sign their name on the dotted line. good luck and stay positive.

Hi Miriam, I'm 37 and I live in Florida. Maybe a couple suggestions for you although I don't know your story. Maybe a piece of the puzzle, although there are many, could be to have your sex hormones checked out by a Reproductive Endocrinologist or fertility specialist. Women in industrialized countries are having hormone issues at younger and younger ages. I have had trouble ever since I started at age 11, now I know this has contributed to a lifetime of having a sensitive nervous system. Estradiol, Progesterone, Testosterone, DHEA-S, TSH, free T-3, Free T-4 thyroid hormones, morning Cortisol, Vit D, B-12, Ferritin. These will need to be blood drawn on day 21 or so of your menstrual cycle to have a good look at them. You will have to do research on the subject yourself before seeing anyone, as most doctors like to dismiss women's hormones as an issue unless you are in menopause. One size fits all is not how that works. Hormones run all your body systems for men and women. I will say it was a major part of my MCS along with a gut connection. Getting out of the VOC environment is also very necessary to kick start your healing. There are many online testing kits you can do on your home for VOC. Even low levels will effect sensitive people like us when no one else seems to notice anything wrong. Keep your spirits up!!
