What is cross over mirroring?
Discussion started by Maff 7 years ago

Matching a person’s external behaviour with a different movement e.g. tapping a finger to match the rhythm of the client’s breathing, or adopting a relaxed posture if the client’s vocal tonality is suggestive of them feeling relaxed.
Cross over mirroring could be employed in a NLP session if for example, it would be obvious to the client if regular mirroring were used; cross over mirroring is a more subtle method to establish rapport.
