Study of microbiome of indigenous populations in the Amazon
Discussion started by Doorie 10 years ago

Thought this article was kind of interesting.
Researchers are evaluating the microbiome (feces) of the indigenous tribes in the Amazon. The objective is to isolate differences between a population that has not been exposed to Western world diets and lifestyle versus our western world microbiomes.
It will be interesting to see what the researchers discover.

Doorie, this is a great link, thanks for posting.
I for one will be awaiting the study results with a great amount of anticipation. I suspect the differences will be large. I also believe differences could account for differences in disease patterns between African nations and the Western world. Interesting stuff!
