Hemp Oil For Health

Hemp oil, seeds, and powder

Hemp, a variety of Cannabis Sativa plant, is one of the fastest growing plants widely found in China, Egypt, Finland, Canada, Australia, Spain, Sweden, India, Hungary, Netherlands, and many other countries in the northern hemisphere.
Hemp has lower concentrations of Tetrahydrocannabinol (a psychoactive element present in the plant) and higher concentrations of Cannabidiol. It’s widely used in clothing, textiles, food, paper, biofuel, and rope industries.
Hemp plants require very little nourishment and can be grown easily without any pesticides. The fibers extracted from hemp are extremely strong and can be used to make clothes, ropes, jewelry, paper, and shoes. These fibers are also used to make blocks which can be used in construction as they are very strong and durable. It’s also a major component of panel manufacturing for automobiles. Yet another product which can be made from hemp seeds is hemp oil. It’s made by cold pressing the hemp seeds. Unrefined hemp oil usually has a nutty flavor and is a clear green color. Hemp oil can be used in many ways- smoking, consuming it orally, or applying it directly on the skin.
Hemp oil has several health benefits. Let us look at them in detail-
  • Used Widely in Skin Care Products
Acne is one of the most common ailments among teenagers. It’s an inflammatory, chronic skin ailment. It’s caused when hair follicles get clogged with dead skin cells and give birth to whiteheads, blackheads, and pus-filled pimples. Excess oil production is also one of the reasons which cause acne.
The amount of Androgen hormones in the body can play a vital role. Changes in these hormonal levels can trigger acne. Studies have also shown that people who are stressed are most likely to end up having acne.
Some of the symptoms of acne are:
  • Black spots, which are dark spots with open plugged pores at the center.
  • Swollen lumps filled with pus.
  • Formation of fluid-filled, inflamed, and tender lumps under the skin.
  • White heads, which are white bumps without any openings.
  • Pus-filled cysts under the skin which are extremely painful.
Due to its antioxidant properties, hemp oil can effectively cure acne by reducing the visible inflammation. It also inhibits excess oil production while keeping the skin moisturized. The oil is known to treat Atopic Dermatitis.
Hemp oil also inhibits irregular cell growth. It also acts as an effective anti-aging agent and reduces the fine lines and wrinkles. This keeps the skin healthy, nourished, and radiant. Hence, it’s widely used in the manufacturing of skin care products such as lotions, serums, and creams.
Some of the other skin ailments that can be cured using hemp oil are varicose eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and Rosacea.
  • Treats Depression
Depression is one of the most common mental disorders all around the globe. A person suffering from depression feels sad always and displays no interest in any activity.
Vaping hemp oil has been scientifically proven to act as an effective anti-depressant agent. It also regulates mood swings.
  • Acts as a Pain Relieving Agent
Multiple Sclerosis is a chronic ailment that affects the central nervous system which consists of the brain, optic nerves, and the spinal cord. Multiple Sclerosis affects the central nervous system to a great extent. It negatively affects the way in which a human body interacts with its environment. It’s an autoimmune disease just like psoriasis or rheumatoid arthritis. Under normal conditions, inflammation is used by the immune system to protect the human body against any foreign organisms.
Whereas in a body affected by Multiple Sclerosis, the immune system uses this inflammation to attack a part of the body by mistaking it as a foreign substance. It destroys the protective fatty substance Myelin which surrounds the nerve fibers or Neurons and completely damages the underlying nerves.
Seizures and tremors, fatigue, numbness, a tingling sensation, problems with vision such as blurring and double vision, memory issues, problems with information processing and thinking, dizziness, loss of bladder control or bowel, and issues with body balance and coordination are some of the symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis.
Hemp oil is well known for its pain relieving properties and hence, is widely used by patients all around the world. It reduces inflammation and also chronic pain without any side effects. It also reduces the painful spasms caused by Multiple Sclerosis and relaxes the muscles, hence providing pain relief to patients suffering from the ailment.
